Jinnie Lee Schmid: Jinnie Lee Schmid is the President & CEO of Change Navigators, LLC, a change management organization specializing in grief recovery. She is an Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist who helps others recognize and release their grief. Born in Queens, New York, Jinnie earned degrees in Political Science and Economics at Emory University. She earned additional credentials as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC, granted by International Coach Federation) and a Certified End of Life Coach. Initially working in the government sector, Jinnie switched to Corporate work in the change management field after a number of years. In Jinnie’s words, change management is all about helping people perform better in the the face of change (which is pretty much constant in today’s world)! After the loss of 2 people that were very close to her, Jinnie went through a grief recovery workshop that dramatically helped her in her journey to recovery. During the course of the workshop, it occurred to Jinnie that grief recovery was really a form of change management. She discovered that she could become certified as a grief recovery specialist, so she did exactly that. Jinnie Lee Schmid uses her certifications in End of Life Coaching and The Grief Recovery Method to support people going through all types of change, loss, endings – and in their search for “what’s next.” She specializes in encouraging and equipping women of the “sandwich generation” who juggle the many demands of career, relationships, raising children, and caring for aging loved ones. One of her specialties is helping people manage long-term decline due to illness and aging (their own or loved ones’) including Parkinson’s Disease and dementia. She also provides group coaching to Hospice staff and other caregivers, for whom the stress of their loving service to others often compounds with their own life experiences to create a “double whammy” of grief. Jinnie offers individual coaching sessions (in person and by phone or web), group coaching sessions, group workshops, and consulting to organizations.
