Erin Wood, CFP®, CRPC®, FBS®, has been a voice for humanizing financial planning for more than 20 years. As the financial planning leader at one of the nation’s fastest growing RIAs and advisor platforms, Erin speaks and works with firms nationally on how to incorporate a people-first planning approach within their firms, using tax planning, trust, retirement and insurance strategies. She’s been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, NASDAQ and MarketWatch. In 2023, Erin was recognized as a finalist for the Women Working in Wealth Award by The American College of Financial Services. Erin Wood began her career in personal finance promptly after graduating college where she practiced as a financial planner in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She developed a passion for helping people at a relatively young age, and the fulfillment of seeing a family achieve their financial goals led Erin to eventually own her own financial planning business in her late twenties. The success of her financial planning career, along with her continued passion for helping others, led Erin to her career with Carson Wealth. Outside of work, Erin is committed to providing real-world financial advice and improving financial literacy through efforts like her Financial Flash video series and personal finance content that she regularly contributes to Kiplinger and HerMoney. She’s championed new avenues for bringing women into finance and has acted as a voice for women in financial planning through her work in the CFP’s Financial Advisor Working Group. In 2022, Erin led Carson’s inaugural Rock the Street Wall Street program teaching financial literacy topics and sharing potential career paths in finance to local high school students. Erin Wood graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 2002 with a B.S. in communications and finance. She holds a Certified Financial Planner designation, as well as Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and Financial Behavior Specialist designations. She received her M.S. in financial psychology and behavioral finance from Creighton University.
