Andrea Sticha is the research director for the Financial Freedom Initiative at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. She previously served as the deputy academic director for the Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center (GFLEC) and as an assistant research professor at George Washington University. Additionally, Andrea Sticha served as a member of Canada’s Research Sub-Committee of the National Steering Committee on Financial Literacy. Andrea holds a PhD in Finance as well as an MSc and BA in Business and Economics from the University of Basel (Switzerland). Prior to joining GFLEC in 2017, she spent two years at NYU Stern School of Business conducting research on household saving and financial decision-making. Her research interests center on financial literacy and the well-being of households in the U.S. and around the world.
